(2) USrealty: Sell your home: List for free with USREALTY

Ok, so they come up organically on our first google search page. Great job on your SEO! Their info says its free – now let’s look at the website to check.

Plans and pricing show the Free Starter Plan as having a $296 fee to be paid at closing (this fee is the same for every package, even their $249 package). For their Free Starter Plan, they charge for edits and a cancellation fee. In the end, they’re not free.

(3) Faira: MLS Listing for Free. Finally!

So this sounds promising. However, on their homepage it says they charge a fee of 0.5% to the buyer. Faira say they are free to sellers, but, their buyers will have to pay 0.5% more for the home, money that would ordinarily go to the seller as part of the purchase price the buyer was willing to pay. They do include professional photos but free is free, and a fee, is a fee!

(4) Listingspark

They don’t actually offer Free MLS listings on their website. They have a daily listing fee of $7 which isn’t bad if your home sells in a weekend. You have to calculate what it would cost if your home sits on the market for a while, as this can add up. They have an article which says: “you aren’t going to get on the MLS for free.” Well, they haven’t heard of Richr.com, where MLS listings are FREE!

(5) FSBO

They charge $399.95 to get your home on the MLS, or they offer a more inexpensive package of $99.95 but this is limited to their own website package (non MLS) which includes syndication to Redfin.

(6) Flatlist: Free For Sale By Owner listing-plus MLS listing for a flat fee

Okay, so on the search it comes up as Free, but only their site FSBO listing is free. MLS listings start at $299.

(7) Homelister: Save $$$ in Realtor Fees – Free to List, No High Fees

Another promising one. This time from a paid Ad. There are different ones from Homelister, another ad says “Free Listing on MLS – And All Platforms”. Great – but hold on, again, their homepage reveals its Free to list, but pay when you close. Lets see what their “low” flat -fees are for their Free to list option. It’s $599 at closing (they do give you a yard sign, but they don’t include photography in that price).

(8) Flatfee: List your home for free with FlatFee

This one also looks pretty good, lets click and see…

They list for free on 20 public sites like Zillow, Craigslist etc and then offer an upgrade to an MLS listing for $175 for 6 months. So again, no free MLS listing here.

(9) Listingly – Realtors cost too much! List with Listingly, 100% Free.

This company says they are free, but they charge a flat fee of $199 at closing.
